G'day Guys,
I decided at the last minute to start a daily photo project for 2009... the decision was made at 8pm on the 1st of Jan :)
I figured I'd use my Zenfolio account to upload the images into a gallery & it would work fine. Most people who do this use Flickr... which as you know, is rubbish.
With the new commenting system + RSS, Collections & Galleries this has worked out far better than I expected.

I have a collection called Project 365, into which I make monthy galleries. At the moment I only have January 2009. Then each photo is uploaded for the day of the month. In January so far we have images 1-12, which equate to January 1st - 12th. I also name each image according to the day/month before I upload & have the function to change the filename into the image title turned on. I only discovered that function yesterday, after asking about it last year sometime :) (Quick addition, would be nice if we could have it ignore the file extension... ie .jpg )
I had a friend say it would be good if he could get an RSS feed to the Project 365.... I went in to check on RSS feeds and found them already operating... just needed to turn them on.
So Zenfolio is great for this project, quick & easy to use, with fantastic gallery displays.
The only thing I'll need to do a little more thinking on is the RSS. At the moment I'm using it per gallery, but once January is over, anyone with my Project 365 feed will see no more content. We don't seem to be able to RSS a Collection and even if we could, it would likely only update when a new gallery enters the collection... ie once per month. I could put all of 2009 in one gallery, since the images do have the date title... that would work too. Thoughts anyone?
Thanks,
Aaron Spence
