We are re-opening submissions for more candidate photos to be
featured on our Home page. Here is how it works:
1. Time line
- Submission
deadline: Monday, September 28, 11:59 pm PST
- Publish
30 image candidates for voting: Monday, October 5
- Voting
for candidates: October 5 - 12
- The
winners will be featured on www.zenfolio.com Home page for at least one
month shortly after the contest has completed.
2. Theme
The subject theme for this contest is All About Light
We are looking for images that are striking because of their use of light,
natural or artificial, witnessed or controlled. We will accept a lot of
flexibility in the subject but the light must 'make the shot'.
3. Requirements
The rules from the previous contests stay:
- Submitted
photos should follow the subject theme above and be original works.
- They
should make the viewer pause, take a deep breath, and admire the work.
- Our
Home page requires horizontal images. Vertical images will have to
be rejected.
- The
content should be appropriate for our Home page. Use your best judgment.
4. Submitting the Images
We are asking you to submit images by posting links in this
forum thread. Please post the link to the image in your gallery, not the
link to the JPEG file.
We will go through the submissions and add them to a special
Collection, so we can review them. Please make sure that adding to
collections is allowed for submitted images and that the gallery
they are in is not password protected. We will have to reject submissions that
we cannot view, or cannot add to a collection. You can test if everything is
setup correctly by logging out and trying to add your submission to a
collection.

We will have to promptly stop accepting submissions
after the deadline to be able to review the submissions and vote for them.
5. Picking the Winners
Our creative staff will review the images and select 30
candidates for voting. You will then be able to choose the top 10 winners.
The top 10 winners will be featured on our Home page.
To get the legal stuff out of the way, let's agree that by
submitting the image you allow us to use it on the www.zenfolio.com
Home page. In addition, please verify that the subjects in your photos do not
object to being displayed on a public Web site.
